Help Save a Life!
The Southtowns Walleye Association of WNY with sponsorship from Buffalo City Council Member Joe Golombek, has partnered with the Buffalo Professional Firefighters Local 282, the Buffalo Police Benevolent Association and the East Side Angler’s Association on this life saving initiative.
We are challenging individuals and businesses alike to donate a life ring in memory of those who have lost their lives while fishing and doing other recreational activities along the many shorelines in WNY. We are specifically focusing on the Niagara River where every year, lives are lost in its swift and unpredictable currents.
There are currently no life saving measures in place along the river. Our goal will be to install a minimum of 50 life rings in various locations reducing the risk for further loss of life.
With a nominal donation of $500 you can be a part of this life saving initiative.
Each Ring is a Potential Life Saved!
