Southtowns Walleye Association of W.N.Y., Inc. Announces its 36th Annual Walleye Derby

  HAMBURG, N.Y., – February 24, 2020 – Southtowns Walleye Association of Western New York Inc. (STWA) (www.southtownswalleye.com) announces its 36th Annual Walleye Derby from June 13th through June 21st 2020, on the waters of Lake Erie and the Upper Niagara River.  With more than $100,000 in cash and prizes at stake, anglers throughout Western New York, multiple states and Canada will participate in the nine day event in search of a walleye worthy of the top prize. Current sign-ups are being accepted at various locations around Western New York, the STWA Clubhouse or online at https://southtownswalleye.com/derby.

  “Once again we are holding our Bounty Fish contest, offering a $10,000 reward for the first walleye to be weighed in over 13 lbs. and it is sponsored by the Stahlka Insurance Agency from Western New York. Each month some great early bird prizes will be awarded at the club to several lucky people who get signed up for the derby early and each of the first 500 participants will receive a commemorative cup that can be used for drink specials leading up to the derby awards ceremony. You have to make sure that you are signed up to participate”, said Jim Skoczylas, Vice President of the STWA and Derby Co-Chair.
